(05/05/08) Anya has safely delivered 5 beautiful kittens - 1 blue boy - 1 lilac boy and 3 colourpoint girls.
(17/05/08) China has safely delivered 4 beautiful blue kittens. 1 boy available.
(04/08/08) Bali has safely delivered 1 beautiful blue cream variant girl.
(30/08/08) SAD DAY - I have had a very distressing phone call from a owner of a previous years kitten. Beau was given the run of the house and garden and tragically he was run over and killed instantly. The distress this has had on both adults and children is awful I hope in time when the hurt has subsided they will have another pet, I will never forget the excitement and joy that having Beau gave them. RIP Beau Bristow 2007-2008
(13/09/08) Menara Violet Beachbaby was entered the Wyvern Show today. She came 2nd in her Open Class (5 kittens) and then went on to come 1st in two Side Classes of 8 & 9 kittens respectively. Very pleased with her results. Thanks to judges at the show.
(01/11/08) Menara Violet Beachbaby was entered in the Colourpoint British Shorthair Show today at Mappleborough Green Village Hall in Warwickshire today. She came 1st in her Open Class and then got a 1st and 2nd in her side classes. I would like to say this was a great Show and if it stays in the Midlands, we will definately attend again.
(01/11/08) Phelies Dennisthemenace was entered in the Rexcat Association Show today at Grieg Leisure Centre in Warwickshire today. (Yes we did 2 shows at 2 venues!!!!) Again a lovely show with a good attendance of Selkirks who were all in tip top shape and looking stunning. Denis came 4th in his Open class and 2nd in a side class, (Mental note for next time to try and bring his curl up!!)
(12/12/08) PKD. I had four of my cats tested in November for PKD (all the other cats are clear through parents) and am very pleased to say that I have CLEAR results on three of them, Anya's has to be re-admitted as for some reason the swab taken was not suitable for testing. AnimalsDNA (Australia) will re do the test as soon as they recieve the swab. A fantastic service, results via email in less than two weeks with a hardcopy certificate sent by post.
(13/01/09) PKD. Anya's results are back today and we are pkd negative cattery.
(30/03/09) Anya and Harry are proud parents of 5 beautiful kittens. Born early evening with out a hitch and now feeding well. Pics soon on available page.
(10/04/09) China and Basil are proud parents of 5 blue kittens, four were born before I came down in the morning and number 5 made a appearence sometime in the morning!! She did exactly the same last year so something to watch for in the future.
(17/05/09) Great day at The Midland Counties show, took Mabel who came 1st in her Open Class and a 3rd place in a side class. CC and BOB withheld. Had some great company which made for a enjoyable day.
(19/05/09) Bali and Harry have been mated so looking forward to Selkirk babies in July. Will update as soon as pregnancy confirmed.
(19/05/09) Mabel and Basil mated also, blues and blacks expected in July, fingers crossed! Sadly Mabel had her kittens early and we could'nt keep them despite our efforts, many thanks to Julie Murray who helped at such a god forsaken hour of the day (3am !!!!!)
(23/07/09) Bali and Harry's babies have arrived. A blue variant Selkirk (straightcoated) and a colourpoint curly Selkirk. Both boys, not able to determine coat length yet.
